Although the work of the Kurtz Detective Agency Leipzig is in principle not geographically limited within the bounds of human possibility, we—unlike many competitors—do not advertise nationwide with fictitious branch offices. Our headquarters are genuinely located in Leipzig. We are personally available to you on site.
However, we will first determine in a telephone conversation whether it is legally permissible to conduct the requested investigation. In most cases, we can already inform you at this stage if taking on the case would be legally inadmissible.
The prerequisite for being able to undertake investigative activities lies, ideally, in a legal interest or (in most cases) a legitimate interest. This refers to any interest that does not infringe upon the rights of third parties or is considered to outweigh them. Unfortunately, legitimate interest is only very broadly defined in § 193 of the German Criminal Code (StGB). In case of doubt, please consult our detectives or your lawyer.
If a legitimate interest exists, we will conclude a service contract. This contract specifies the assignment, the amount of fees and expenses, and their upper limit.
Please provide all information already available to you.
Absolute discretion is a matter of course for us. It is advisable that you also refrain from informing anyone that you have hired a detective.
